A Recent Success: TAPS Saint Patrick’s Day Event
We recently had the pleasure of producing 70 custom shades for TAPS, the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors. TAPS is the national nonprofit organization providing compassionate care and comprehensive resources to all those grieving a death in the military or veteran community. Their gala event happened to fall on Saint Patrick’s Day celebration. The goal was to add a centerpiece that could nestle naturally among the festive shamrock décor on each table. We proposed rechargeable LED lamps and after a few rounds of design options, TAPS chose a clean, elegant approach — their logo repeated twice around the shade for maximum visibility from any angle.
Our process began with precise measurements of the lamp shade, which we used to build a custom template ensuring a perfect fit. We’ll admit there was a moment of suspense: with 70 shades ordered separately, we wondered whether slight size variations might be an issue. We were thrilled to hear back after the event that every single shade fit perfectly — in the client’s own words, “like a glove.”
